Record numbers welcomed at Perth Beer Festival

Thank you for supporting and attending our Perth Beer Festival events at the weekend.  The sun shone and you turned out in record numbers to have a good time and help us raise lots of money for Perthshire Rugby.

Perth Comedy Night on Friday night was a sell out.  Compered by Bruce Fummey, Caputh’s Jim Smith opened the show to a great reception from the audience.  Jim was followed by Abernethy’s Joe Heenan and Fred MacAulay did what Fred MacAulay does best – a fantastic stand-up set.  It’s fair to say that at our sell out ‘Big Bash’ on Saturday night The Solid Gold Band brought the house down. We’ve received lots of positive feedback and we look forward to welcoming everyone back again on the 12th May next year.

We’ve now finished packing up the marquee and Allan Brown, Chief Executive of Perthshire Rugby, would like to pass his thanks to the team.  “I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our guests across the weekend and to our sponsors, Tan International, for their continued support and to the Perthshire Rugby squad of volunteers who worked tirelessly across the whole weekend to make this event such a great success.  Our bar and catering teams served thousands of pints and burgers across the weekend”.  Should anyone wish to forward any photos through taken across our events for use on our website, please email info@perthbeerfestival.co.uk.
